Job summary

Petrogas E&P Netherlands is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to strengthen our Projects department, delivering accurate planning, forecasting and cost control across project and drilling activities. You will collaborate with Finance, Projects and Operational teams to ensure financial transparency and timely reporting, while contributing to annual budgeting, CAPEX planning, and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in project controls, cost control or financial planning.
• Experience in project-based environments; energy/ offshore/ infrastructure sector preferred.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates, including support for the AFE process.
• Monitor project and drilling expenditures against approved budgets.
• Deliver cost forecasts and periodic financial reports.
• Support CAPEX and ABEX forecasting and cashflow planning.
• Contribute to monthly project reporting and business planning processes.
• Support Management of Change activities and cost tracking.
• Coordinate financial information required for audits.
• Contribute to decommissioning cost updates and long-term planning.
• Collaborate with technical and finance teams to ensure accurate financial information.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline

Experience in project controls/cost control/financial planning

Experience in energy/oil & gas project environments

Strong analytical and reporting skills

Petrogas E&P Netherlands is looking for a Project Controls Analyst to strengthen our Projects department. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring financial transparency and control across project and drilling activities while working closely with Finance, Projects and Operational teams.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates, including support for the AFE process.
• Monitor project and drilling expenditures against approved budgets.
• Deliver cost forecasts and periodic financial reports.
• Support CAPEX and ABEX forecasting and cashflow planning.
• Contribute to monthly project reporting and business planning processes.
• Support Management of Change activities and cost tracking.
• Coordinate financial information required for internal, statutory and joint venture audits.
• Contribute to annual decommissioning cost updates and long-term business planning.
• Collaborate with technical and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost control or financial planning.
• Experience in a project-based environment, preferably within the energy, offshore, infrastructure or industrial sector.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
