Job summary

RoviSys in the Netherlands is seeking Project and Senior Engineers to lead automation projects, guiding teams through mechanical, electrical, and software systems. You will translate requirements into system configurations, design control architectures, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automation, experience with major PLC/SCADA platforms, and strong English communication. Travel to client sites is expected as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in automation

Responsibilities

• Owns and leads technical aspects of projects with small to mid-sized teams
• Assists PM in scope changes and change orders
• Translates functional requirements to system configuration
• Designs control system networks and control strategies
• Serves as technical contact for customers
• Programs controllers and configures automation equipment
• Selects automation equipment and instrumentation
• Designs electrical cabinets and panels with CAD support
• Tests system configuration to verify functions
• Travels to client sites for project meetings and verifications

Project and Senior Engineers are responsible for leading engineering teams that design and implement customer automation projects. Project engineers take a comprehensive approach to solving problems, learning the details of each project’s mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Owns and leads the technical aspects of projects with small to medium sized teams
• Assists Project Manager in identifying changes in project scope and developing change orders
• Translates functional requirements to system configuration
• Designs control system network architectures and control strategies
• Serves as a technical contact for customers
• Programs controllers and configures automation equipment
• Selects automation equipment and instrumentation
• Designs electrical control cabinets and panels with support from CAD technicians
• Tests the system configuration to verify functions
• Travels to client site for project meetings and system verifications

Required Qualifications

• Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
• Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS)
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree
• 3+ years of experience in automation
• As a minimum, you must be proficient on one or more of the following platforms: Inductive Automation Ignition
  • Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, or FactoryTalk
  • Emerson DeltaV
  • Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
  • National Instruments LabVIEW
  • Siemens S7, PCS7, or WinCC
  • Or similar IT, automation, or MES platform

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ Years in project management, including project financials
• 2+ Years leading technical projects and engineering teams
• Entry level Dutch (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, or Native)
