Job summary

Optics11 in Amsterdam seeks a Program Manager to establish Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Customer Support within the PMO, creating the processes, tools and capabilities to support products through delivery, commissioning, maintenance and end of life.

Initially the role combines program leadership with direct execution; as demand grows, you will develop a dedicated support organization, build the business case, staffing plan and partnerships for sustainable services.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• Proven experience managing technical programs or service operations.
• Experience establishing or improving a support function with processes and reporting.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, spares, publications and lifecycle costs.
• Ability to translate customer/contract requirements into executable plans and budgets.
• Strong cross-functional coordination across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and Finance.
• Clear professional English and effective communication with customers and teams; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build the function: assess current support activities, define service model, manage budget and progress reporting.
• Establish ILS: create support plans, coordinate maintenance concepts, spare parts, documentation and training.
• Embed supportability in development: translate requirements into product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Launch Customer Support: implement contact points, case management, SLAs, and escalation paths.
• Prepare customers and partners: coordinate commissioning support, training and knowledge base handovers.
• Develop sustainable services: define and cost support packages with Sales and Finance.
• Improve products and service: use data to drive corrective actions with Engineering and Quality.
