Job summary

The Kingfish Company is seeking an experienced Production System Supervisor to lead a production team in our land-based aquaculture facility in the Netherlands. You will ensure safe, efficient execution of production plans while maintaining fish welfare and quality standards.

You will coach and develop staff, monitor KPIs, coordinate onboarding and training, and drive continuous improvement across departments in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading teams in production (aquaculture or similar)
• Experience ensuring safety, fish welfare, and quality standards
• Ability to coach staff, manage performance and drive results through others

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production System Supervisor to lead one of our production teams and contribute to the continued growth and success of our operations.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the daily activities of an assigned production team, ensuring that production plans are executed safely, efficiently and in line with operational standards. You will play a key role in motivating, coaching and developing employees while maintaining a strong focus on safety, fish welfare, quality and performance.
Success in this role requires a combination of people leadership, operational decision-making and the ability to drive consistent execution through your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop an assigned production team
• Translate production plans into clear daily priorities and work schedules
• Monitor team performance and production KPIs, identifying and addressing deviations
• Ensure compliance with safety, fish welfare, biosecurity and quality standards
• Coordinate onboarding, training and competency development of team members
• Make timely operational decisions and elevate risks when necessary
• Facilitate effective communication, shift handovers and collaboration across departments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage new ideas from the team

Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant technical or higher professional education, or equivalent leadership experience within a fish production environment or aquaculture
• At least 3 years of experience in leading teams in an operational aquaculture or similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage performance and achieve results through others
• Strong understanding of operational processes and production performance management
• Knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards within a production setting
• Willingness to work according to operational and production leadership schedules.
