Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Zoeterwoude site. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, leading the production team, and maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity standards on site.

You will manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, collaborate with maintenance and QA, and report on KPIs to continuously improve shop-floor performance. This is an on-site role based in Zoeterwoude, NL.

Qualifications

• Multi-year experience managing a complex portfolio of products.
• Experience in make-to-order/make-to-spec environments.
• Experience with screen printing technologies and ink mixing/direct printing knowledge.

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards and promote safety culture across shifts.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze production metrics, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

• Drive workforce planning, training, and performance management for production personnel.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing day-to-day manufacturing operations, leading the production team, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity on site.

This role is an on-site position based in Zoeterwoude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise daily production activities and team members to meet plant output schedules and quality targets.
• Ensure full compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a strong culture of safety across shift operations.
• Monitor operational KPIs, analyze production metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues.
• Drive workforce planning, training, skill development, and performance management for production personnel.

Qualifications

• Multi-year experience managing a complex portfolio of products, experience in make-to-order and make-to-specification environment
• Experience in screen printing technologies and techniques, ink mixing screen making and design, preferably in the field of expertise of heat transfers and digital printing
• Experience with design software and interfaces to printing equipment.
• Knowledge of Sakurai, Zund, Anapurna and Picocolor equipment is a preferred
• Solid experience in leading multi-cultural operational teams at the shopfloor with performance above industry standard
• Capable of performing first-line maintenance on production machines and / or diagnosing machine failures.
• Results-driven operations leader specializing in root cause analysis to elevate team performance and process efficiency.
