Job summary

Mansource is seeking a Production Coordinator – Steel Construction (Junior & Senior) to translate engineering documentation into practical production plans for offshore steel construction projects. You will ensure workshop activities are safe, efficient and compliant with quality standards.

You will work closely with engineering, production, procurement, suppliers and subcontractors to prepare material take offs, workshop drawings, and production schedules.

Production Coordinator – Steel Construction (Junior & Senior)

As a Production Coordinator – Steel Construction, you are responsible for the technical preparation and coordination of complex steel construction projects within the offshore sector. You translate engineering documentation into practical production plans, ensuring that workshop activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality standards. You work closely with engineering, production, procurement, suppliers and subcontractors. This position is open to both junior and senior professionals, with responsibilities tailored to your experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate engineering documentation into practical production plans, work instructions and technical documentation.

• Prepare Material Take Offs (MTOs), coordinate workshop drawings and support material procurement.

• Prepare and coordinate construction methods, production schedules, lifting plans and transport arrangements.

• Monitor project progress, budgets, quality requirements and deviations throughout the production process.

• Coordinate activities with suppliers and subcontractors while collaborating closely with engineering, production and quality control teams.

Requirements Production Coordinator – Steel Construction (Junior & Senior)

• Completed technical education at MBO or HBO level (vocational or bachelor's degree), preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field.

• Affinity with steel construction, offshore fabrication or heavy construction, with knowledge of technical drawings, materials and fabrication processes.

• Junior level: Technical knowledge and an interest in production preparation; relevant internships or experience in a production or project environment are an advantage.

• Senior level: Several years of relevant experience in production preparation within steel construction, offshore or heavy fabrication, including experience in project progress monitoring and budget control.

Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, combined with a structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach, are essential for both levels.
