We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner to join our international family (25+ nationalities!). You will work on new and existing software products used to test and validate the security of chips used in a wide variety of products. Our market-leading tools enable security experts and developers to find vulnerabilities in secured products by using a variety of hardware and software test techniques, combined with data analysis and visual representation of test results. For our device security evaluation software, we rely on efficient algorithms, complex analysis of large data sets and reliable software-hardware interaction.

As a Product Owner, you are part of a growing, cross-functional development team based in the Netherlands. You actively manage stakeholders and translate high-level features on the roadmap into a collection of goals and usecases. You actively support the development team while they create actionable items based on these usecases. You demonstrate (new) functionality to stakeholders and collect their feedback. With your experience, ideas, coaching and contributions, you push the team to new heights. Together, you develop tools that enable analysts and engineers worldwide to make their products more secure. The team collaborates with external customers as well as with the analysts from our own Security Lab to learn which cutting edge technologies are most valuable for Riscure’s product portfolio. The close collaboration with users results in products that fulfil a customer need and have short time-to-market.

Responsibilities

• You will work in short cycles on experiments, in which ideas are transformed into prototypes, according to Agile development principles. We use these experiments to check if our solution is beneficial for our customers.
• You work with a team of ~9 developers with end-to-end responsiblity, enabling them to create new solutions for customers, striking a balance between new features, fixes and technical debt.
• You actively maintain a good relationship with a variety of stakeholders and technical experts, bridging the gap between long-term goals, a roadmap full of high-level features and the day-to-day reality of the development team.
• The majority of our software is written in Java, some in Python. We are working with tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, Cloudbees, IntelliJ, Maven and BlackDuck to support our software development process.
• As a Product Owner, you use your experience to coach other team members on aspects such as user-focus and obtaining and processing feedback. You also make a valuable contribution to improvements of development tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• You hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• You have significant professional experience as a Product Owner of a desktop software product with hardware interfaces, in a niche market driven by innovation.
• You have demonstrable experience in maintaining a healthy (professional) relationship with all kinds of people.
• You have experience in device security and/or cryptography and you are passionate about growing further in these fields.
