Job description

From defining unmet clinical needs to European product launches: help shape the next phase of Asahi Intecc's growth in the neurovascular market.

You know the neurovascular market from the inside. You understand what gives a neurointerventionalist confidence in a guidewire, which clinical arguments genuinely influence adoption, and why a product launch in Germany, France or Turkey requires more than a standardised European approach.

At Asahi Intecc Europe, you will apply that expertise across an entire region, with multiple major product introductions coming up in the next twelve months! You will connect the technology with clinical practice - from positioning and launch readiness to KOL engagement, training, sales enablement and structured feedback to R&D in Japan.

This is not a Product Manager role removed from the market. You will spend time with physicians, at congresses and workshops, and alongside commercial teams, ensuring that product strategy translates into clinical understanding, confidence and adoption.

You do not need to have spent years in Product Management to be considered. Perhaps you currently work in clinical, sales or market development within neurovascular/IR and are already the person who connects clinical needs, product technology and commercial opportunities. If so, this could be your opportunity to move from influencing one market or area of expertise to shaping outcomes across Europe.

Asahi Intecc historically has built a strong European position in coronary intervention and is now focused on further developing its presence in neurovascular and IR. You will take ownership of an established specialist role at a time when the European marketing team is expanding, collaboration between Product Managers is being strengthened and a concrete launch agenda is ready to be delivered.

Your first priority will be to take part in multiple upcoming product introductions and bring them successfully to the European market. This requires more than a single central marketing plan. You will determine what sales organisations, distributors and clinicians need in each market; establish the right level of KOL involvement; develop training and sales enablement; and ensure that clinical feedback is rapidly translated into positioning and execution.

Your influence will extend beyond these launches. You will help develop the neurovascular business with greater focus, bring additional structure to portfolio management and forecasting, and strengthen the link between European customer insights and future product development in Japan. The role is primarily focused on Neurovascular, with Peripheral Interventional Radiology as a secondary area of responsibility.

Your role

As Product Manager Neurovascular - Europe, you will be responsible for the market-led development and commercial support of the neurovascular portfolio across Europe, including Turkey and Israel. The role is expected to be approximately 70% downstream and 30% upstream marketing.

Working within the European Product Management team, you will become the internal subject-matter expert for Neurovascular. You will connect neurointerventionalists and KOLs with sales organisations, distributors, marketing colleagues and the global R&D team. Your impact will be visible in well-prepared launches, clinically and commercially confident teams, engaged KOLs, product adoption in priority markets and actionable input for future portfolio decisions.

What you will do
  • Develop and execute European go-to-market and launch plans for multiple upcoming product introductions, tailored to both direct sales organisations and distributor-led markets.
  • Translate insights from neurointerventionalists, KOLs, commercial teams, competitors and market data into clear choices for portfolio strategy, positioning and promotion.
  • Equip sales partners and healthcare professionals through clinical presentations, product demonstrations and hands‑on sessions covering application, benefits and safe use.
  • Build and maintain relationships with leading clinicians and KOLs so that product development, education and market introductions reflect the realities of daily clinical practice.
  • Support congresses, workshops and, where relevant, clinical procedures in cath labs or operating rooms to understand product use and facilitate successful adoption.
  • Create sales enablement and marketing materials, including brochures, videos, user guides and other resources that make complex technology clear, relevant and compelling.
  • Lead forecasting, portfolio management, competitive analysis, clinical evaluations and post‑market feedback activities to identify opportunities, risks and next steps at an early stage.
  • Connect the European market with the global R&D team in Japan by communicating unmet clinical needs and product feedback in a structured, actionable way.
Where you will make the difference

A successful neurovascular product launch is not created behind a desk. Physicians need to understand where the technology can make a meaningful clinical difference. Sales colleagues and distributors need to communicate that value with confidence. And signals from diverse European markets must be distilled into clear priorities.

This is where you add value. You can engage with neurointerventionalists on the clinical detail while also making sound commercial choices. You recognise patterns in feedback, determine what matters most and turn different stakeholder interests into a focused, executable plan.

The complexity is precisely what makes this role compelling: several introductions running in parallel, direct and distributor-led markets, international stakeholders, and a continuous connection between clinical practice and product development. You will have the autonomy to take visible ownership across all of these areas.

Who you are

For Asahi Intecc, in-depth neurovascular experience matters more than your current job title. This opportunity could suit professionals currently working in Product Management, clinical, sales or market development within the neurovascular field.

You recognise yourself in most of the following:

  • Neurovascular expertise. You have demonstrable experience with neurovascular medical technology and understand the clinical context, stakeholders and decision‑making processes surrounding neurointerventional products.
  • Relevant experience. You bring at least four years of relevant experience, gained in Product Management, clinical, sales, market development or another field‑based commercial role.
  • From insight to action. You can analyse clinical feedback and translate it into choices for positioning, training, product launches and commercial execution.
  • Clinical credibility. You communicate clearly and can independently deliver product training, demonstrations and hands‑on sessions to both clinical and commercial audiences.
  • International collaboration. You are fluent in English and comfortable working with colleagues, distributors and customers across different European markets. An additional European language would be an advantage.
  • Mobility. You live in the Netherlands within practical travelling distance of Amsterdam and are willing to travel approximately 20‑50% across Europe.
  • Education and right to work. You hold a relevant bachelor's degree, for example in marketing, nursing, biomedical engineering or a comparable discipline, and have valid EU work and residence status.
Why join Asahi Intecc?
  • Immediate launch impact. With multiple product introductions planned within twelve months, your work will have a clear focus and visible outcomes from the outset.
  • Strategy combined with clinical practice. You will shape positioning, forecasting and portfolio choices while remaining closely involved with KOLs, training, congresses and, where relevant, clinical procedures.
  • A genuinely European scope. Rather than applying one standard approach to a single country, you will adapt your choices to direct sales organisations and distributor‑led markets across Europe.
  • Specialist technology. Asahi Intecc develops guidewires and microcatheters using four proprietary technology platforms: wire drawing, wire forming, torque and coating. Its products are engineered to provide precise control in demanding interventions.
  • Influence within a growth area. Neurovascular is smaller than the established coronary business, giving you a meaningful opportunity to shape further market and portfolio development.
  • A credible step into Product Management. If your current title is Clinical Specialist, Sales Representative or Market Development Manager, this role offers a realistic path into European Product Management.
What we offer
  • A gross annual salary of €60,000-€90,000, depending on experience.
  • An individual performance bonus equal to two gross monthly salaries, bringing total target cash compensation to approximately €70,000-€105,000 per year.
  • 24 days of annual leave, plus several company closure days during the summer and at year-end.
  • A pension scheme and additional wellbeing benefits, including a gym allowance.
  • A hybrid working model, with Amsterdam as your base and a combination of office and home working.
  • An international role with approximately 20‑50% travel.
