Job summary

Bluerock TMS is seeking a Product Manager to own the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, customers, engineering, implementation, and sales to ensure successful delivery and adoption.

You will translate business goals into actionable initiatives, align roadmaps with company objectives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable rapid, high-quality releases and ongoing product improvement across the TMS landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2) desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably SaaS/TMS
  • Experience in delivering complex software implementations on time and within budget
  • Experience in a product-driven environment with software development and integrations best practices
  • Strong understanding of TMS platforms and API integration with ERP/WMS/Visibility providers

Job description

The product manager is responsible for maximizing the value of the product by owning and managing the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle activities. The role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, customers, engineering, implementation teams, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. The product manager ensures that the product evolves according to customer needs, business priorities, and market demands while supporting internal teams through training, enablement, and product expertise.

Responsibilities

Product Vision Strategy

  • Contribute to product vision in light of company strategy, goals and priorities.

  • Translate business objectives and customer needs into actionable product initiative.

  • Contribute and track product roadmap planning and prioritization.

  • Ensure alignment between product strategy and company objectives.

  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor developments to identify opportunities for product improvement.

Product Roadmap and Backlog Management

  • Own the intake, assessment, and triage process for product improvements and new feature requests.

  • Assess business impact, urgency, customer value, and technical feasibility.

  • Own and manage the product backlog and ensure backlog items are clearly defined and ready for development.

  • Collect and analyze business and customer requirements according to product goals.

  • Prioritize enhancements, bug fixes, technical improvements, and new features based on business value and impact. Maintain transparency regarding prioritization.

  • Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.

Development Collaboration

  • Act as the primary contact between business stakeholders and development teams.

  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance during development.

  • Validate delivered functionality and ensure acceptance criteria are met.

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Take ownership of the full product lifecycle from ideation through release, adoption, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities required for successful product releases.

  • Ensure product documentation, release notes, and communication materials are maintained.

  • Support product rollout and change management activities.

  • Monitor product performance, adoption, and operational effectiveness after release.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a functional product expert for implementation teams. Provide guidance on product capabilities and business processes to both implementation and (pre)sales teams.

  • Participate in customer demonstrations, workshops, and solution discussions when needed.

  • Develop and deliver product training sessions for internal teams and customers.

  • Ensure internal stakeholders understand new features, releases, and product changes.

  • Create and maintain training materials, knowledge base articles, and user documentation.

  • Promote product knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.

  • Ensure sales teams are informed about product capabilities, roadmap updates, and key differentiators.

  • Support solution design discussions during customer implementations.

  • Collaborate with implementation teams to identify recurring customer challenges and improvement opportunities.

Who you are and beyond:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

    • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

  • Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the SaaS or TMS industries.

    • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software implementation projects on time and within budget.

    • Experience working in a product-driven environment, with a strong understanding of software development and integration best practices.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of TMS platforms and their applications in various industries.

    • Experience with API integration and standardization, particularly with systems such as WMS, ERP, Visibility Providers, and Customs Solutions.

    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, Rocketlane) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships and stakeholder expectations effectively.

    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment
