Job summary

Qooling is seeking a Product Manager to own discovery, shape a product vision, and deliver AI-powered proofs-of-concept in The Hague. You’ll interact with customers, build validated concepts, and guide engineering with clear criteria. The role sits in-office and partners closely with the founders to drive the roadmap.

You’ll work within the Shape Up framework, owning end-to-end product strategy and delivery while ensuring rapid feedback from real users before larger builds.

Product Manager — build the product, prove it with AI

About the Role

Most product roles describe ideas and wait for engineers to build them. At Qooling, you'll prove them. As our Product Manager, you sit at the centre of the product: you talk to customers, spot the problem worth solving, build a working AI-powered proof-of-concept yourself — often the same week — and put it in front of real users before a single sprint is committed. What survives goes to engineering as a validated, scoped spec.

You'll be the product expert in the company and help set the vision and roadmap together with the founders. Because we're a small team, you'll own both product strategy and product delivery — the PM and PO roles combined in one. We work with the Shape Up Methodology, and you'll be the go‑to person when it comes to scoping projects.

This is an in‑office role in The Hague

A Week in the Life

Monday, a CS teammate flags that three customers struggle with the same workflow. By Wednesday you've used AI tools to build a clickable proof‑of‑concept and put it in front of two of them. One reaction kills your first idea — good, that saved a six‑week build. The second version lands. You scope it into a Shape Up pitch, walk engineering through exactly what "done" looks like, and get back a build you'll personally accept against the criteria you wrote. Friday afternoon you zoom out: does this change where the roadmap goes next quarter? That conversation happens with the founders, and your POC is the evidence on the table.

What You’ll Own

Shape what we build

• Own discovery from customer signal to validated concept
• Build AI‑powered proof‑of‑concepts to validate ideas before development starts
• Co‑own the product vision and roadmap with the founders

Make it ship

• Run the Shape Up cycle and scope functional projects
• Keep daily development moving and unblocked
• Accept work against the criteria you defined (functional and basic QC)

Make it land

• Own release communication to the Customer Team
• Write product updates and coordinate them with Marketing
• Use AI to write product documentation customers actually use

Is This You?

You've worked in QA, business‑process analysis or implementation consulting and kept thinking "I could decide what we build better than this." You've already built things with AI tools — not just prompted ChatGPT, but shipped a prototype someone actually used. You think in flows and edge cases, and people like working with you because you make decisions clearly and explain them well. Fluent Dutch and English.

Our selection process mirrors the job: you'll build a small AI‑assisted POC for a real Qooling case — you'll know within hours whether this role is for you.
