Frencken Mechatronics B.V. is seeking a Product Engineer to own products through production, collaborating with Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability and customer satisfaction.

The role is hands-on, focusing on solving production issues, implementing changes, and updating documentation. You bring a HBO Bachelor in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, at least 3 years in manufacturing, and experience with high-tech assembly.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-tech products and complex assembly processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the technical owner and product expert for assigned products during production and sustaining phases.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, test failures, and quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to support product introductions and ensure a smooth transition from prototype to volume production.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, test instructions, BOMs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process documentation.
• Support the implementation of engineering changes and ensure changes are correctly translated to the production environment.
• Review manufacturing processes, tooling, layouts, and material flows to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as second-line technical support for production teams and help resolve complex product-related challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, lead time reduction, and waste elimination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to achieve business objectives.
