Job summary

Shine is seeking a Product Director, Shine Advisor, to own the CPA experience globally. This builder role takes a young product from launches to a full CPA solution, working across accounting, collaboration, and practice management with a Europe-wide scope.

You will lead PMs, drive discovery with CPAs, and shape AI-enabled workflows while balancing near-term releases with long-term platform bets. Amsterdam-based role in a growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Led product teams building complex B2B SaaS products, ideally in accounting, fintech, or adjacent domains.
• Solid accounting or bookkeeping domain knowledge and understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Product leader who gives PMs ownership, sets outcome-based goals, and raises discovery and delivery quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the Advisor Global product strategy and roadmap end-to-end.
• Lead and develop product teams, set high bar for outcome-focused discovery and delivery.
• Drive discovery with CPAs to validate problems and build trusted solutions.

The Advisor Global at Shine

The Advisor Global area is building the future for CPAs in Shine. Our vision is that accountants can transform from being bookkeepers to actual advisors - and we get there by automating the manual work and providing proactive, real-time insights in a collaborative platform shared by CPAs and their clients.

We're building an AI-native product for accountants covering the full CPA journey: collaborating with clients, collecting documents, producing the accounting, verifying its quality, running the firm etc. Everything is built modular with open APIs and integrated into the wider Shine and Cegid ecosystem, starting in France and designed to scale across Europe. The area consists of 5 product teams: Collaboration, Production, Audit, Integrations and Practice Management each led by a trio of Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and Product Designer.

Your Role as Product Director, Shine Advisor

As Product Director, Shine Advisor, you own the product direction for the CPA experience in the global product. This is a builder's role - you are responsible for taking a young product from first launches to a full CPA solution.

What you will be doing

• Own the Advisor Global product strategy and roadmap end-to-end - sequence what gets built when across day-to-day accounting, collaboration, integrations, and practice management, balancing near-term launches with the long-term platform bets.

• Lead and develop your product teams - support and challenge your PMs and their teams across the area. Set a high bar for outcome-focused discovery and delivery.

• Drive real discovery with CPAs - we validate problems with accountants directly, from shadowing monthly closings to usage analysis, and build what earns their trust rather than working from a feature backlog.

• Shape our AI-native approach - decide where AI genuinely transforms accounting workflows and where the conservatism of the profession demands transparency and control.

• Orchestrate across the ecosystem - partner closely with the Core Accounting, Pre-Accounting areas in the global product as well as the other Advisor areas in France and Spain focusing on the local products to deliver a coherent experience for CPAs and their clients.

• Track what matters - active CPAs and end-clients, revenue, and the adoption and efficiency metrics that show accountants are winning back time.

What you will bring

• You have led product teams building complex B2B SaaS products - ideally in accounting, fintech, or adjacent domains.

• You have a solid accounting or bookkeeping domain knowledge and understand double-entry bookkeeping.

• You are a product leader - you give your PMs real ownership, set outcome-based goals, and raise the quality of discovery and delivery without becoming the bottleneck.

• You are a builder who thrives in the zero-to-one and one-to-n phases - launching new products, finding product-market fit with demanding professional users, and scaling what works.

• You are AI-fluent across the board - you use AI tooling in your own workflow, you think critically about where AI changes what accounting software should do, and you can shape product bets where AI is a core capability.

• You hold the tension between shipping near-term and building a platform for scale - and make deliberate trade-offs rather than defaulting to one or the other.

• You are comfortable owning cross-team and cross-area dependencies and sequencing under pressure.

• You communicate with precision - with engineers on system design, with accountants on workflow needs, and with leadership on strategic trade-offs.

• You are fluent in English; French is a plus.
