Job summary

MARTAN, an Amsterdam-based fashion brand, is seeking a Product Development Intern to support our development team. You will assist in creating tech packs, sourcing trims, and coordinating with suppliers, while gaining hands-on experience in production and collaboration across design, atelier, and marketing.

You will be part of a small, hands-on team in an open studio, with opportunities to grow across different fields and contribute to shoots, events and pop-ups in a dynamic fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create tech packs and comment sheets in Adobe InDesign.
• Source trims online and offline.
• Help track production and keep overviews updated.
• Source new suppliers.
• Prepare shipments for production partners.
• Pack customer orders.
• Assist with shoots, shows and pop-up events.
• Communicate with suppliers via email.

MARTAN is an Amsterdam based fashion brand operating in the high-end segment of the market. We produce all our collections from upcycled materials without compromising on quality or design. We are a sustainable start-up and work with a small, hands-on team. Working at MARTAN means you get to learn a lot about the different fields of the industry. We work in an open studio with our Design, Atelier, Production and Marketing departments in one big space so there is a lot of collaboration and conversation between these fields.

Product Development Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Product Development team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, technical understanding, and an interest in the operational side of fashion production. You will play a key role in supporting the development of our collections, from sourcing materials to communicating with suppliers. As part of a small, flexible team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow across different fields and gain hands-on experience, including time working in our atelier.

Skills

• Organised and eye for detail
• Technical understanding of garment construction
• Proficient in Adobe programs (especially InDesign)
• Comfortable working with Google Spreadsheets or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Creating tech packs and comment sheets in Adobe InDesign
• Sourcing trims (both online and offline)
• Helping to track production and keep overviews updated
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Preparing shipments for production partners
• Packing customer orders
• Assisting with shoots, shows, and pop-up events

Language

• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Time

• Full-time (5 days a week, 8 hours per day) for a minimum of 6 months
