Product Design & Development Manager – Food

Are you passionate about driving digital transformation in the nutrition sector? The Specialized Nutrition Research & Innovation (SN R&I) division seeks a Product Design & Development Manager – Food to lead our Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Early Life Nutrition (ELN) category.

In this role you will support an innovative, global tool to revolutionise product life‑cycle management by 2027. Your work will consolidate and harmonise management of ingredients and recipe specifications, ensuring high‑quality data for R&I and factories.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and cross‑check different systems (old and new PLM, formulation tool, dashboards).
• Upgrade recipe data by checking data quality and recipe data completeness.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders in a clear manner.
• Represent the categories’ needs in the Cybele program team.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts and key users, ensuring high‑quality delivery within agreed scope and time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in food technology or product development.
• Master’s in food technology, chemical or food engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel and data‑savvy.
• Understanding of PLM tools and data flows between systems (e.g., SAP, Artemis, dashboards).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
• Proactive, critical thinker with problem‑solving and realistic action‑plan abilities.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and complexity in a dynamic organisation.
• Results‑oriented with technical expertise and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Contract & Compensation

• 12‑month temporary contract (possible renewal).
• Salary: €6,000 gross per month (full‑time, 40 hrs/week), based on education and experience.
