Job summary

BDR Thermea Group is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage all procurement aspects of New Product Development, ensuring timely launches at targeted costs and quality. You will lead and develop the BU procurement team, coordinate with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and suppliers, and drive time-to-market, cost, sustainability, and risk reduction.

The role requires strong international collaboration, strategic sourcing, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement leadership in international settings.
• Experience with product development, engineering, or technical teams.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional results.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Proactive, organized and hands-on mindset.
• Fluent in English; extra European languages are advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus.

The role

You will lead procurement activities within the Business Unit and take ownership of all procurement-related aspects of New Product Development (NPD). Your focus is clear: deliver successful product launches while building a resilient, sustainable, and competitive supply base.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with Group Procurement and Commodity strategies
• Leading supplier selection and engagement for new product introductions
• Partnering with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and Procurement teams across the business
• Driving performance against key objectives, including time-to-market, cost targets, sustainability, and risk reduction
• Working closely with Commodity Management and country procurement teams to ensure alignment and maximise synergies
• Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working across the Group
• Leading and developing the Business Unit procurement team

This is a highly collaborative role with extensive exposure across the organisation. You'll work closely with Business Unit leadership, Product Management, R&D teams, procurement colleagues in multiple countries, and key suppliers.
