Job summary

Nutreco, an SHV company, is seeking a Procurement Analyst to transform data into strategic insights for Amino Acids category. You will collaborate with the global procurement team, IT, finance, and supply planners to enable data-driven sourcing decisions and performance insights.

You’ll design dashboards, work with ERP data, and apply AI-enabled analytics to support cost optimization and supplier intelligence. This role is based in Amersfoort with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in retrieving, connecting, and analyzing data from ERP systems and data lakes.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Strong analytical mindset with data quality validation and business relevance.
• Ability to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

In this global, data driven role, you will support our Amino Acids category by transforming complex, fragmented data into meaningful information that helps drive strategic sourcing - all contributing to our shared purpose of Feeding the Future. You will be part of a centrally managed, global procurement team, working closely with the Category Manager, Lead Buyers in China and Amersfoort, and the Supply Planners to provide data based support for key decisions. You will also collaborate with Procurement Excellence and Global Procurement Intelligence to enhance datasets, reporting, and tools across the function.

What you’ll do

• Transform procurement data into actionable insights that drive category strategies, sourcing decisions, cost optimization, and business performance.
• Design, develop, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, datasets, and analytics solutions, delivering transparency on spend, supplier performance, market dynamics, and procurement KPIs.
• Apply advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to uncover opportunities, investigate business trends, assess supplier and market intelligence, and support strategic sourcing activities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Procurement, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Sustainability, and Legal to translate business needs into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Deliver impactful reporting and performance insights while contributing to procurement digitalization, process excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who we’re looking for

You are analytical, curious, and energized by turning raw data into stories that make sense. You enjoy working with systems but also with people - asking questions, validating insights, and connecting the dots between operations, technology, and business impact. To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
• Experience or strong interest in retrieving, connecting, and analyzing data from ERP systems, data lakes, and other structured sources.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau), with the ability to convert data into clear business insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience validating data quality and ensuring results are accurate, logical, and business-relevant.
• Ability to create effective reports, dashboards, and visualizations that enable data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, acting as a trusted partner between business and IT while influencing across a global matrix organization.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
