Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Process Technologist (Evisceration) to bridge Service, Innovation and Sales, focusing on process and product technology. You will optimize and develop evisceration solutions, working closely with Field Service to resolve issues and ensure item reliability for customers worldwide.

The role requires a BSc in mechanics/mechatronics, 3+ years of related experience, and a willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.

Qualifications

• Completed BSc in Mechanics/Mechatronics.
• 3+ years of work experience in a similar role or related industry.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~50%).
• Excellent communication in Dutch and English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for evisceration technologies within the Poultry industry, focused on process- and product- tech.
• Support development, validation, and optimization of Evisceration solutions in the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Field Service to analyze and resolve issues in Evisceration systems.
• Advise customers on process optimization and application of technologies.
• Transfer knowledge and train Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, Service, and Sales teams.
• Serve as technical link between Service, Development, Innovation, and Sales.
• Collect, document and share knowledge related to Evisceration technologies.
• Contribute to the Evisceration roadmap and evaluate new developments.

Job description

As a Process Technologist (Evisceration), you are the link between the Service, Innovation and Sales departments. Mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and technology are at the core of this position. You will be part of a team responsible for optimizing and developing a dedicated evisceration product portfolio within the Poultry industry, ensuring maximum customer value, product performance, and reliability. Within this team you are the link between Service, , Innovation and Sales, focusing on the process – and product technology. We are looking for a professional with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, combined with a strong interest in poultry processing technology and data-driven solutions. As processing environments continue to evolve through increased automation, digitalization, and intelligent systems, a broad interest in machine control, sensors and related technologies is highly desirable. In this specialization, you are the knowledge provider and the go-to person for both our customers worldwide and our internal organization. As the Process Technologist is the link between Service, Innovation, and Sales, he/she plays a key role in the successful implementation, optimization, and adoption of technologies and solutions and future applications.

Tasks and activities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for evisceration technologies within the Poultry industry, focussed on process- and product technology.
• Support the development, validation, and optimization of Evisceration solutions currently in our portfolio, and future applications.
• Work closely together with Field Service to analyse and resolve technical issues related to Evisceration systems and associated equipment.
• Advise and consult customers on process optimization and the application of technologies.
• Transfer knowledge and provide training to Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, Service, and Sales teams.
• Act as the technical link between Service, Development, Innovation, and Sales.
• Collect, document and share technical and application knowledge related to Evisceration technologies.
• Contribute to the Evisceration roadmap and evaluate new developments.

About you:

You have a strong analytical mind, perseverance, a commercial and innovative attitude and above all a real entrepreneurial spirit. You like to travel and to build strong relationships with our customers. You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English both spoken and written.

To be successful in this position, you must have:

• A completed BSc in Mechanics / Mechatronics.
• A few years of work experience in a similar position or within a related industry is an advantage of a minimum of 3 years.
• You would like to develop as a technical specialist and propagate this in your work.
• You are willing to travel +/- 50% internationally.
• Must have relevant EU travel and work documents and driver license.
