Job summary

ROCKWOOL is seeking a Process Operator to operate and monitor the machines used to manufacture stone wool insulation products and building panels. You will work in a 3-, 4- or 5-shift schedule and ensure the production process runs safely, efficiently and to quality standards.

You will perform operating tasks, monitor processes, conduct quality checks and record information, while supporting your team to meet daily targets. A proactive, safety-focused approach is essential.

Job description

As a Process Operator at ROCKWOOL, you will operate and monitor the machines used to manufacture high-quality stone wool insulation products and building panels.

Together with your colleagues, you will make sure the production process runs safely, efficiently and according to the required quality standards. You will work in a 3-, 4- or 5-shift schedule, depending on the department and production process.

Your responsibilities include:

• operating, setting up and adjusting production machinery;
• monitoring the production process and adjusting machine settings when needed;
• identifying and resolving process deviations and technical issues;
• carrying out quality checks and measurements;
• recording relevant production and quality information;
• helping your team achieve daily production targets;
• keeping your workplace safe, clean and organised;
• suggesting improvements to increase safety, quality and efficiency.

This position offers more than routine machine operation. You will take responsibility for the production process and help prevent downtime, quality issues and unsafe situations. You enjoy working with machines, understand technical processes and take safety and quality seriously.

We are looking for someone who has:

• completed a technical vocational education, preferably in Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field;
• experience in machine operation, industrial production or process technology;
• good technical understanding of machines and production processes;
• the ability to identify and resolve technical or process-related issues;
• an accurate, independent and safety-conscious approach to work;
• willingness to work in a 3-, 4- or 5-shift schedule;
• good teamwork and communication skills;
• sufficient communication skills in English, Dutch or German.

You do not need to speak all three languages.

Your technical skills, experience and willingness to learn may be just as valuable.
