Job summary

The Process Innovation Lead Analyst at LyondellBasellis in Rotterdam will design and maintain data pipelines and models to deliver process mining insights via Celonis cloud. You will automate repetitive tasks using RPA, Alteryx and Power Automate and partner with CI teams to implement optimized processes across Finance and other functions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in process optimization and strong SQL, data modeling, and Celonis experience, plus SAP familiarity and excellent business

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• SQL and data modeling skills required.
• Certifications in Celonis Data Engineering, Automation Anywhere, or similar preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in business processes optimization, data mining or Intelligent Automation.
• 2-4 years’ experience with SQL, Python, R, or VBA Power query.
• Experience with databases and SAP.
• Experience using Celonis, Alteryx, Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere for data analytics.
• Familiar with VISIO, BPMN and cross-functional flowcharts.
• Languages: English; additional language preferred.

The Process Innovation Lead Analyst will report into the Senior Lead Analyst and the role will be located in Rotterdam. He/she will be part of a team of 2 colleagues. The Lead Analyst will interact with the subject matter expertise and Continuous Improvement team to design, build and maintain data pipelines, models, and transformations to deliver process mining insights through the Celonis cloud solution, and may automate repetitive manual processes using automation tools, including but not limited to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Alteryx and Power Automate. The role combines the skillsets of a data engineer with a business analyst to drive process innovations and insights for optimizing business processes.

A Day in the Life

The Data Analytics and Automation Team (DA&A) combines data, technology, and analysis with business acumen to drive process innovation by automating work streams and generating insights for better decision-making. The team also governs and supports key financial reporting systems used by Finance and may act as focal point in strategic initiatives/projects.

A broad range of business areas will be supported, including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, and other corporate services. The Lead Analyst will support the Senior Lead Analyst and work closely with others in DA&A as well as IT teams to ensure compliance and alignment on the optimal solution.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General

• Stay current with Intelligent Automation technologies, capabilities, business applications, process mining; apply innovations in these areas; and share knowledge with other team members.

Area of Expertise, Requirements

• Intermediate level experience in ingesting, preparing, transforming, and modeling data from various sources to enable process mining, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making;
• Apply data engineering skills to design and build data models, process models, and business objects, and translate process behavior into clear insights for stakeholders;
• Automate processes using Intelligent Automation tools including but not limited to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Alteryx and Power Automate;
• Collaborate with subject matter expertise, the Continuous Improvement team, and other developers, to design and implement an optimized future state process or workflow, and ensure compliance for SAP security / roles / interface access / licenses are obtained to facilitate development;
• Enable business analysts by creating custom reports and presentations accompanied by strong data visualization and storytelling in Celonis;
• Maintain technical documentation for process mining, process discovery document (PDD), step-by-step, project kick off, test procedures and scenarios, run book, project sign off sheet, etc.;
• Use machine learning techniques to further optimize business processes.

You Bring This Value

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related science/technical discipline (including Finance / Accounting);
• SQL and data modeling skills required;
• Certifications in Celonis Data Engineering, Automation Anywhere, or similar is preferred;
• Demonstrated 3+ years’ experience in field of business processes optimization, data mining and analytics or with Intelligent Automation Capabilities and AI solutions;
• Demonstrated 2-4 years’ experience with either SQL, Python, R, or VBA Power query;
• Demonstrated experience with databases and SAP;
• Demonstrated experience in data science, data engineering, and data analytics using software like Celonis, Alteryx, Power Automate, or Automation Anywhere;
• Familiar with cross functional flowcharts for process mapping like VISIO, BPMN;
• Familiar with Intelligent Automation Capabilities and AI solutions such as workflow automation, RPA, RDA, OCR, ML, AI, Intelligent Data extraction, intelligent assistants, etc.;
• Languages English, additional language preferred.

To be successful in this role you must recognize yourself in the following profile: The role requires strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business terms. A solid understanding of end-to-end business processes such as Source to Pay, Lead to Cash, and Record to Report is preferred. A candidate should be comfortable working in geographically diverse, cross-functional teams across both functional and technical domains.
