Job summary

WITRON Logistik + Informatik GmbH is seeking a Process Engineer CDC JUMBO to monitor and optimize the automated logistics system at our customer site. You will analyze data, identify root causes of disruptions, and implement improvements in collaboration with PLC programmers.The role requires a hands-on, proactive engineer with 1+ year in a similar field, strong English communication, and a technical background.

Dutch is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Vocational qualification (EQF Level 4) or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics/automation.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize daily performance and reliability of the automated system at the customer location (CDC JUMBO).
• Identify root causes of system disruptions through data analysis and drive sustainable solutions.
• Analyze system performance and implement operational improvements with PLC programmers.
• Perform targeted monitoring of control room screens, BWOS, and other critical systems.
• Prepare daily reports and checklists and ensure timely follow-up of service tickets.
• Report to Continuous Improvement Manager and suggest optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Control Room, Continuous Improvement, and Technical Services teams.
• Support production and technical teams during escalations, maintenance, and cleaning schedules by coordinating machine availability.
• Conduct system recovery activities in case of server failures and monitor order/material flow.

Your role in our team

• analyze system performance and implement operational improvements in close collaboration with PLC programmers
• perform targeted monitoring of control room screens, BWOS, and other mission-critical systems
• prepare daily reports and checklists and ensure timely follow-up of service tickets
• report directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager and proactively recommend optimization opportunities
• work independently while collaborating closely with the Control Room, Continuous Improvement, and Technical Services teams
• support production and technical teams during escalations, maintenance activities, and cleaning schedules by coordinating machine availability
• perform system recovery activities in case of server failures and ensure continuous monitoring of order flow, material flow, and operational performance
• you are proactive, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking initiative
• vocational qualification (EQF Level 4) or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• you have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics, automation, manufacturing, intralogistics, or the automotive industry
• you have knowledge of and experience with PLC-controlled systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• you have a pragmatic and hands-on approach
• you work accurately and thrive in a dynamic operational environment
• you communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
• knowledge of Dutch is an advantage, but not required
• you are eager to continuously learn, improve, and contribute to operational excellence
