Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Nijmegen offers a Process Development Intern role starting January/February 2027 for 6 months. You will work on the Next Generation Tomato project within the International Zone R&D, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

You will plan and execute pilot plant trials, perform rheology assessments, and apply statistical data analysis to support scale-up. Strong English communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in chemical engineering or food-related engineering.
• Knowledge of rheology and food processing fundamentals.
• Experience with experimental design and data interpretation.
• Interest in scale-up of emulsions and tomato-based products.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Understand current processing methods for emulsions/tomato products at pilot plant and factory scale.
• Plan, coordinate and execute pilot plant trials with cross-functional partners.
• Define and execute analytical and sensory evaluation plan.
• Perform rheological testing to study flow under unit operations.
• Apply regression/curve fitting to interpret data and develop models.
• Prepare progress updates and presentations to internship supervisor and Process Team.
