Job summary

Nouryon is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Deventer to join the Polymer Specialties Technology group. You will define development strategies, design, set up and lead pilot-plant and on-site trials to bring new products and production technologies to life, while transforming data into insights and driving site expansions.

You will optimize yields, reduce costs and emissions, and help implement advanced process control systems to improve overall plant performance.

Qualifications

Master degree in Chemical Technology with at least 6 years of experience in the chemical industry.
Proficient in the English language, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Act as R&D project manager, ensuring projects are delivered in scope, on time and within budget while coordinating with R&D, manufacturing and marketing.
Set up, plan and execute pilot experiments and plant trials, and analyze, interpret and report results.
Contribute to projects as process development lead to balance process safety, chemistry and process technology requirements.
Compile process Know-how documents to embed knowledge in the organization.
Identify new product and process opportunities for yield improvement and cost reduction.
Prepare conceptual designs for new or improved production lines and participate in initial design phases of CAPEX projects.
