Job summary

Workwize is seeking a UX Principal to shape how users experience our hardware deployment platform for global IT teams. You will partner with the Head of Product and the design team to uncover valuable solutions, applying user-centric research and data-driven insights to simplify complex workflows.

You will drive craft, mentor peers, and lead the move to AI-native workflows, partnering with Eng to ship fast and deliver real customer value across 100+ countries.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience, with staff or principal level scope.
• Strong portfolio of B2B product work showing discovery and research leadership.
• Exceptional craft, creativity, and taste driving product quality and brand.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design work on our most strategic experiences, starting with agentic experiences.
• Drive and adopt the design system, setting standards and guiding principles.
• Raise the craft bar across the product org through design direction and critique.
• Coach and mentor designers to elevate craft without formal people management.
• Define design direction across complex, multi-team areas and identify high-leverage opportunities.
• Lead the move to AI-native workflows, exploring tools to accelerate concept-to-production.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship quickly while advocating for customers.

About the Role

We are looking for a UX Principal who will be pivotal in shaping how users experience Workwize. You’ll collaborate closely with our Head of Product and design team to discover and define great product solutions, leveraging user-centric design, data-driven insights, and a relentless focus on delivering value. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of IT managers worldwide, transforming complex workflows into intuitive, frictionless experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on, designing our most strategic work, starting with our agentic experience.
• Drive our design system to completion and full adoption, owning the standards and principles behind it.
• Set the craft bar across the product org through design direction, critique, and clear principles.
• Lift the team's craft through critique, mentorship, and pairing. This is craft coaching, not people management.
• Define design direction across complex, multi-team product areas, spotting the high-leverage opportunities.
• Lead our move to AI-native workflows, using emerging tools to speed concept-to-production and define new ways of working.
• Work tightly with Product and Engineering to make fast decisions, ship with urgency, and advocate for customers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time at staff or principal level or equivalent scope.
• Strong portfolio of B2B product work, with a track record of leading discovery and research.
• Exceptional craft, creativity, and taste, consistently producing work that pushes product quality and brand forward.
• A proven track record of leading high-impact product work across complex, multi-team problem spaces, with strong product judgment and influence over strategy and direction.
• A history of raising the craft bar in others through critique, mentorship, and design leadership, without formal authority.
• Able to set the standards and principles that lift design quality across the product org.
• Able to think from first principles, not just apply standard UX process.
• A strong communicator who articulates design decisions clearly and influences without managing.
• Experience working closely with engineering and using emerging AI-native tools to evolve how products are built.
