Job summary

Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Dutch Branch seeks a Solutions Architect to help Software and Technology companies adopt cloud and AI at scale. You will lead architecture advisory, proofs of concept, and education, collaborating with sales, professional services, and partner teams.

You will be the voice of the customer, shaping AWS feature roadmaps, creating reference architectures, code samples, and technical content, and evangelizing AWS technology through events and workshops.

Qualifications

• Experience developing technology solutions and end-to-end technology roadmaps for IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• Experience in cloud architecture and CXO level engagement.

Join our AWS Solutions Architecture team in Central and Eastern Europe and empower Software and Technology Companies (aka ISV) to build at speed and scale with cloud technologies. Our customers are born in the cloud and are leading the industry in AI-native transformation.

You will work hand in hand with software and technology companies to help them make the most of the cloud and AI. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology and will engage with organizations at all stages of cloud and AI adoption.

You are a technical leader - for your customers and for the organization. Combining business acumen with technical skills and domain expertise, you work with customers to architect solutions to complex and emergent problems. You start and lead activities such as architecture advisory, proof of concepts, building together with customers, knowledge transfer and education. You will collaborate with other teams such as account management, professional services, Industry experts, support, service teams and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to shape the roadmap of AWS features.

You will be leading creation of reference architectures, technical content, code samples, developing patterns that others take to production. You will evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups and public speaking activities).

Key job responsibilities

• Build technical relationships with AWS strategic customers up to C-level and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer shapes the guidance you provide.
• Provide architectural guidance to customers, helping them identify risks, opportunities, and anticipate future needs; build hands-on with them.
• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for customers, maintaining the current view of their technology landscape, business priorities, industry context, and competitive dynamics
• Partner with internal teams (sales, business development, support, engineering) to drive customer success and adoption of AWS
• Lead and own the development, delivery, review, and maintenance of technical content (e.g., sample code, blog posts, presentations, white papers, workshops); speak at industry and customer events.
• Lead customer feedback gathering, decomposing it into business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams, being involved in the early formation of new products and services

About The Team

The team works with Software and Technology companies across Central and Eastern Europe. We are open to hire in multiple locations in Europe, including Amsterdam and Munich.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
• Experience in specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
• Experience in cloud architecture and CXO level engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Knowledge of database, data warehouse, and data lake technologies; overview of data and AI market
