As a Principal Consultant in GenAI, you are the technical foundation of our GenAI team. Together with the Managing Consultant, you develop an annual plan that directly contributes to our business objectives.

Are you a senior Data Scientist with a proven track record who wants to keep growing and take a leading role in innovation and technical excellence? At Data Science Lab, you can put your expertise to full use and develop it further. You will be responsible for the technical vision, innovation and deliverables of our GenAI team. Together, we set the standard in the market for purpose-driven data solutions.

Your role as Principal Consultant

In this strategic and technically challenging role, you will be the technical backbone of our GenAI chapter. Together with the Managing Consultant (MC), you will develop a tactical annual plan that directly supports our business objectives. You will give the team clear direction and focus, and be the point of contact for technological innovation, both internally and externally.

You will combine deep technical expertise with vision and leadership. You will take the technical lead on client projects from start to delivery, ensuring the highest quality standards from the initial sales pitch through implementation and evaluation. You will also inspire colleagues and clients with your expertise and strategic advice.

Your key areas of responsibility:

Technical Excellence: You are a specialist and innovator in your field, driving technological advances within and beyond the company. You are recognised as an authority in the market, and others turn to you for advanced insights and solutions.

Tactical Annual Plan: Together with the MC, you will draw up a tactical annual plan for the chapter, providing direction and focus.

Technical Leadership: You will lead technical implementations for clients and uphold the highest quality standards, from design through implementation.

Knowledge Sharing and Inspiration: You will actively share your knowledge through presentations, publications and coaching. You will mentor the team and encourage both individual and collective growth.

Thought Leadership: You will position Data Science Lab as a leader in GenAI through your contributions to developments in the market, (blog) publications and speaking at events.

A challenging role in a transparent organisation with a good salary. Salaries follow set pay scales. Your salary depends on how long you’ve worked here and your specific role. It ranges from €5,500 to €8,500 gross per month, depending on your previous experience, excluding additional benefits and pension allowances.

About you

Experience: You’re an experienced data scientist with at least 6 to 7 years of experience.

Technical expertise: You have knowledge and practical experience of machine learning, AI engineering and LLMs. You’re skilled in MLOps principles and familiar with vector databases, RAG, prompt engineering and integrating AI into business processes. Knowledge of AI ethics, security and privacy is a plus.

Vision and innovation: You have a vision for data-driven working and the ability to develop new strategies and techniques.

Communication skills: You’re an inspiring speaker, a persuasive adviser and a supportive colleague.

Leadership: You’re driven to develop your own and others’ technical skills, with a passion for innovation.

Dutch language: You have a good command of written and spoken Dutch.
