Job summary

IQVIA seeks an Associate Principal/Principal Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) Endpoint Strategy expert to lead COA strategy, instrument development, and regulatory engagements in client projects. You will mentor teams and contribute to scientific leadership, with a focus on patient-centered endpoints across therapeutic areas.

Role involves collaborating with pharma/biotech sponsors, ensuring scientific quality, and advancing COA measurement science in clinical research.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across COA types (PRO, ObsRO, ClinRO, PerfO) and their application in clinical research.
• Experience building COA endpoints strategies across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Hands-on experience developing COA instruments, including item writing and validation.
• Experience supporting FDA-facing endpoint strategy and regulatory interactions.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
• Excellent scientific writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong publication record and credibility in outcomes research or COA science.
• Well-developed communication skills for internal and external audiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset for new client offerings and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop COA endpoint strategies across clinical development programs and endpoints.
• Provide COA strategy input in client meetings, workshops and discussions.
• Differentiate client solutions with COA narrative strategies.
• Translate regulatory expectations into actionable client recommendations.
