Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GMP equipment within the Geleen facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently and supporting efforts to minimize downtime and costs.

You will work in a dynamic, compliant environment with opportunities to interact with external service providers and internal teams during maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Willingness to learn and improve technical knowledge through training and on the job experience.
• Understanding of safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements and ability to follow procedures.
• GMP knowledge is desirable
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
• Support actions to reduce downtime and maintenance costs in a cGMP environment.
• Supervise internal staff and contractors during maintenance and repair tasks.
• Prepare preventive actions and ensure documentation is compliant and audit-ready.

Preventative Maintenance Engineer
Location: Geleen, Netherlands.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently. This role involves assisting with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, and supporting efforts to reduce downtime and maintenance costs in a cGMP environment.

• Maintenance Engineer of GMP equipment - QC, warehouse and manufacturing which involves the Engineering and Qualification of GMP manufacturing sites. This includes the Building Monitoring System and Access Control systems in the facility.
• Ensure that this equipment, execution and documentation are efficient and defendable during inspection. Ensures timely response to regulatory issues. Acts as support of contact (SME) to regulatory bodies on audits and regulatory matters pertaining to facility maintenance and upkeep.
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with all procedures, policies and regulations regarding provided utilities and services.
• Contact person for external service providers performing facility or utility maintenance
• Preparing Preventive actions needed for the assets
• Supervising internal staff and contractors during the execution of maintenance and repair tasks.
