Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Cutter in our Meat Department. You will cut, grind, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats, assist with seafood, prepared foods, and deli items, and help ensure high quality, safe, and attractive displays for Members.

Join a fast-paced team with a focus on member satisfaction, cleanliness, and adherence to department standards. Requires a meat-cutting background and ability to work with wrapping equipment; 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company cutting standards; weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts.
• Ensures the meat case and departments are stocked and properly displayed; rotates products by expiration date.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, displays, and areas in the meat department; inspects deliveries for quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular, full attendance.
