Job summary

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field with public defence and doctoral thesis submitted by closing date.
  • Fluent oral and written English.
  • Strong quantitative background and interest in remote sensing or photogrammetry.
  • Scientific programming experience for data processing, analysis, or modeling the cryosphere.
  • Evidence of research excellence through publications and conference presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply cutting-edge remote sensing or photogrammetry methods.
  • Combine with data science approaches such as machine learning and data assimilation.
  • Focus on snow and glaciers in mountains worldwide; collaborate internationally and with space agencies.
  • Prepare a professional development plan within one month of start.
