Job summary

TU Delft's Department of Quantum Nanoscience invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position to investigate spin dynamics of molecular and atomic spins on surfaces within the ERC SPINOCCHIO project.

The successful candidate will develop a first-principles approach to quantify spin-phonon couplings and model spin relaxation times T1 and coherence T2 using pbcEOM-CC and advanced correlations.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field is required.
  • Strong background in open quantum system dynamics and related physics.
  • Experience with programming and data analysis is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a first-principles approach to quantify spin‑phonon couplings on surfaces.
  • Model spin relaxation (T1) and coherence (T2) times using advanced electronic structure methods.
