Job summary

University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the DECIDE project. The role combines scientific research with project integration and coordination across the consortium.

The work focuses on AI tools for interdisciplinary societal impact, particularly AI-DSS and AI-CSS, and investigates why promising tools fail to translate into robust, trusted instruments in real-world citizen empowerment contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD in AI, data science, computer science, health sciences or related fields.
• Proven track record in interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English (C2).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate co-design and implementation across the DECIDE consortium.
• Advance scientific integration and publish integrative results.
• Organise cross-WP sessions and synthesis workshops.
• Monitor progress and identify risks to maintain project coherence.
