InteraktContour invites applications for a four-year Postdoctoral researcher position to join the DECIDE project Democratizing AI: Empowering Citizens through Transparent Decision-making at the Julius Center, University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) in the Netherlands. You will bridge AI researchers and societal researchers to co-design AI-DSS and AI-CSS for real-world citizen empowerment.

Qualifications

PhD in AI, data science, computer science, health sciences or related field.
Track record in interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Excellent communication and writing skills, with English proficiency at C2 level.

Responsibilities

Act as a bridge between technical researchers (AI, data science) and societal researchers (philosophy, education, human factors, governance).
Coordinate and monitor the co-design and implementation of AI-DSS and AI-CSS.
Co-author integrative publications reflecting the project's interdisciplinary nature.
Contribute to international dissemination by presenting integrated findings at conferences and stakeholder events.
Organize cross-WP integration sessions, research retreats, and synthesis workshops.
Monitor scientific progress and identify risks related to fragmentation or misalignment.
