Job summary

University of Groningen invites a postdoctoral researcher to develop graphite from renewable aromatic hydrocarbons. The role focuses on isolating and converting carbon streams to mesophase carbon and graphitic materials for carbon fibre applications, working in the Green Chemical Reaction Engineering group.

You will plan experiments, report results, and participate in team activities while ensuring safe lab practices and contributing to project milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience with carbon-based materials and their characterization.
• Knowledge of handling different reactor setups.
• Experience with working safely in a chemical laboratory environment.
• Good communication skills, orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experimental work.
