Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Innovation Management, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven track record as a robust system thinker and first-principle thinker.
• Strong analytical capabilities to move beyond first-order trends.
• Interest in alternative energy carriers to lead Work Package 2.
• Familiarity with AI, autonomous systems, and quantum computing.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Flying Vision Navigator across three stages: predictive routing, second-order effects, and tipping-point analysis.
• Lead Work Package 2 on alternative energy carriers within the LiT Nationaal Groei Fonds program.
• Collaborate with consortium partners including Royal NLR, Airbus, Royal Schiphol Group, and KLM.
• Engage in advanced system thinking research with external influences like AI and geographic shifts.
