Job summary

The University of Amsterdam invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join the ERC-funded project on Next-Generation Cognitive Testing, led by Dora Matzke. The role is in the Amsterdam Mathematical Psychology Laboratory within the Psychological Methods program group.

You will develop adaptive evidence-accumulation models, integrate Bayesian hierarchical frameworks, and implement software for fitting the models.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematical psychology, computational cognitive modeling, or related discipline.
• Experience with response-time modeling and evidence-accumulation models.
• Experience with Bayesian hierarchical methods.
• Strong programming skills in R and reproducible research software.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of adaptive evidence-accumulation models for cognitive tasks.
• Integrate these models within a Bayesian hierarchical framework with learning and biological models of alertness.
• Implement and maintain software for fitting and applying the developed models.
