The project operates within the EU-funded OPERA initiative, combining AI, robotics, and social sciences to ensure safe, transparent, and trustworthy robot behavior.

You will explore ways robots can interact with humans to explain decisions, adapt to social contexts, and operate under ethical governance models.

Qualifications

• PhD degree required or expected before joining the project.
• Strong background in AI or robotics with interest in human-robot interaction.
• Experience in interdisciplinary research is welcome and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enabled robotic systems for safe, trustworthy human-robot collaboration.
• Investigate how robots interact with humans to enable transparent decision-making.
• Evaluate methods in real-world multi-stakeholder scenarios within the OPERA project.
