Job summary

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in AI Education Research to advance understanding of how AI reshapes teaching and learning in engineering education.

You will collaborate with the IDEE team, design and run studies across TU Delft classrooms, and translate results into guidelines and recommendations that support meaningful student learning in an AI-enabled university.

Qualifications

• PhD in Educational Science, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong research background in education, learning or human behaviour.
• AI literacy and interest in educational innovation and AI.
• Familiar with design and/or engineering education research.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Clear communication in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the Teaching Academy and education staff across TU Delft faculties to connect policies to implementation.
• Support researchers experimenting with the impact of AI on student learning.
• Review IDEE group results to provide concrete recommendations.
