Job summary

The role requires a PhD in Civil Engineering or related field, a strong publication record, Python programming experience, and excellent English writing.

Qualifications

• PhD in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Demonstrated peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields.
• Experience integrating stakeholder engagement with quantitative modelling.
• Proficiency in Python programming and scientific writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-risk adaptation pathways for delta systems and assess trade-offs.
• Collaborate with decision-makers and stakeholders in the Netherlands.
• Evaluate methods against state-of-the-art adaptive pathway planning.
• Disseminate results through meetings, conferences and journals.
• Contribute to planning adaptation under uncertainty for Dutch water managers.
