Job summary

TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Platform Software Porting Engineer to design, develop, and test the porting foundation of partner radio vendor SDR products. You will work with embedded hardware, platform abstractions, and inter-processor communication to deliver robust software platforms.

The role emphasizes C/C++, Python, Linux/RTOS BSPs, and advanced software security and processing knowledge. Remote work within the Netherlands is supported for this EU-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum four years’ experience developing embedded Linux/RTOS BSPs.
• Two years of Yocto Project experience.
• Experience with debugging and lab test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software platform execution environments.
• Generate, configure, and maintain Linux and RTOS based hardware abstraction layers, including IPC abstractions.
• Design, update, and extend hardware specific software component variants.
• Facilitate hardware-specific software component performance verification with targeted code.
• Perform feasibility studies and performance analysis of critical system software on related hardware.
• Interface with common Linux services and protocols.
• Document and present design alternatives using standard engineering practices.
• Collaborate across teams to measure, debug, and optimize radio system performance.
