Job summary

Leiden University LIACS seeks an excellent engineer to significantly redesign the OpenML platform and build its next generation. You will be part of the ADA group at LIACS, collaborating with researchers across the Netherlands and potentially presenting at international conferences.

You will contribute to a growing, open science ecosystem with flexible working arrangements, and opportunities to grow into leadership roles within OpenML core activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in large engineering teams.
• Experience with complex web-based code bases.
• Demonstrable experience with machine learning software and platforms (OpenML, scikit-learn, SciPy).

Responsibilities

• Optimize accessibility via elegant APIs and user-centered interfaces.
• Define and develop agentic interfaces to OpenML.
• Contribute to OpenML codebase and ensure maintainability and reviews of community contributions.
