Job summary

NN Group's NN Bank Platform Services is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, focusing on reliability, security and scalability to accelerate product delivery.

You will collaborate with software engineers, DevOps and security experts to continuously enhance our platform landscape, shaping tooling and processes for faster, safer deployments. Hybrid work setup, with offices in The Hague and Rotterdam, and 5‑month contract.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineer roles.
• Strong AWS and Azure DevOps experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, security and reliability improvements.
• Excellent English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Develop and improve security checks for AWS components, ensuring compliance and robustness.
• Collaborate with software engineers to address tooling needs and incidents.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of development tooling and infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize platform services and development environments.
• Contribute to system design, product discovery, operations monitoring, and security controls.

What you are going to do

As a senior Platform Engineer, you contribute end‑to‑end to the platforms and tooling that support our software engineers. Your work directly impacts development speed, quality, and security across the organization. You combine hands‑on engineering with a broader product mindset and actively collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve our platform landscape. In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Develop and improve security checks for AWS components, ensuring compliance and robustness
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to understand and address their tooling needs
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of development tooling and infrastructure
• Monitor and optimize platform services and development environments
• Contribute to system design, product discovery, operations monitoring, and security controls
• Guide and support the team with your seniority and technical expertise

Who you are

• You have 3-5 years of experience in similar DevOps positions and strong proficiency in AWS technologies
• Solid experience in solution design
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2+)
• You love automation and implementing recurring tasks, testing, and security in CI/CD systems
• You have experience with programming in scripting languages (preferably Python and NodeJS)
• Bonus points if you are familiar with Kubernetes, OTEL, JMeter, K8s or ServiceNow

Who you will work with

You’ll join a team of six engineers dedicated to improving development processes across NN Bank. The team values open communication, flexibility, continuous learning, and psychological safety. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps specialists, and security experts to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions. On Monday you will work at the office in The Hague and on Wednesday you will work from our Rotterdam office.
