Job summary

Swift is seeking an experienced Platform Architect to design, implement, and maintain scalable compute, network, and database infrastructure. You will lead architecture, set standards, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver reliable, secure platforms.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud, networking, and databases, plus strong documentation and mentorship capabilities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years IT architecture experience, 5+ years in compute/network/database platforms at scale.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience including IaaS/PaaS/FaaS.
• Network architecture expertise: TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancers, security.
• Database tech experience: relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Proven ability to design highly available, scalable, secure infra and lead architectural initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and evolution of compute, network, and database platforms.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Evaluate modern tech to optimize performance, scalability, cost.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams for deployment.
• Develop comprehensive architecture diagrams, design specs, and runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Participate in incident response for critical platform issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and new tech.
