Job summary

Swift is seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to design, implement, and maintain robust compute, network, and database infrastructure. This role leads architectural design across compute, network, and database platforms and collaborates with development, operations and security teams.

You will define standards, evaluate new technologies, mentor junior staff, and contribute to incident response and governance to ensure reliable, scalable platforms in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of IT architecture experience, with 5+ years in compute, network and database platforms.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaaS/PaaS/FaaS.
• Extensive network design knowledge and database technologies with HA/DR skills.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS, or Cisco are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of compute, network, and database platforms.
• Define standards, guidelines, and best practices for platform development.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve performance, scale, and cost.
• Collaborate with dev, ops, and security for seamless deployment.
• Produce architecture diagrams, specifications, and runbooks.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Participate in incident response and problem resolution.
• Maintain Enterprise Architecture artefacts aligned with governance.
