Job summary

The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) invites applications for a physician-researcher in Interventional Cardiology. The role combines clinical research with participation in catheterization lab studies and aims to obtain an academic PhD within four years.

You will lead patient recruitment, organize studies, analyze data and publish results while collaborating with international researchers in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Almost completed medical degree with interest in cardiology.
• Research experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work both in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate studies from patient recruitment to study procedures.
• Contribute to data collection, interpretation and manuscript writing.
• Perform analyses and present results at conferences.
• Collaborate with PhD candidates on patient inclusion and follow-up.
