The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites applications for a PhD project in Ultra-High Field Neuroimaging to study cerebellar mesoscale morphology. The work combines data analysis, tissue staining and postmortem MRI in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience and the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging.

Qualifications

• MSc in biomedical engineering, physics, biology or related field.
• Programming experience in Python and MATLAB and proficiency in English.
• Interest in neuroscience, brain imaging and quantitative analysis; MRI or microscopy experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure human mesoscale cerebellar morphology in postmortem tissue.
• Perform data analysis, tissue staining and postmortem MRI.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary neuroscience team.
