Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) in neuroscience, focusing on cerebellar mesoscale morphology using ultra-high-field MRI.

The project offers a dynamic environment in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience and the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging, with access to 7T MRI and brain bank facilities. 1.0 fte, salary on the promovendi scale, and ample development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• MSc in biomedical engineering, physics, biology or related field.
• Programming experience in Python and MATLAB.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Measure the human mesoscale cerebellar morphology in postmortem brain tissue.
• Conduct data analysis, tissue staining and postmortem MRI.
• Collaborate with the Ultra-High Field Neuroimaging group and related teams.
• Present findings at seminars and conferences.
