Job summary

Radboud University invites applications for a PhD position exploring why some individuals develop gambling-related harm while others do not. The project uses longitudinal panel data and advanced quantitative methods to study vulnerability factors across time.

You will join an interdisciplinary team spanning psychology, decision sciences and economics, with a 0.8–1.0 FTE contract and a teaching task. A competitive starting salary and strong training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong basis in advanced statistics (e.g. mixed-effects models, cross-lagged panel analysis, latent class analysis) and research methods.
• Experience with panel data is a plus.
• Commitment to Open Science practices, including preregistration.

Responsibilities

• PhD research focusing on how vulnerability factors interact and how gambling behaviour relates to harm over time.
• Contribute to three measurement waves with ~1,000 participants and integrate new data with existing longitudinal information.
• Present work at workshops and conferences and pursue University Teaching Qualification.
