Job summary

Radboud University invites applications for a PhD position titled “Beyond the Odds” focused on unravelling pathways to gambling-related harm. You will join the Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) in the D2P2 lab, conducting quantitative work with longitudinal data and collaboration across psychology, economics and decision sciences.

The project is ZonMw-funded, includes a 0.8–1.0 FTE position, a teaching task, and opportunities to obtain the University Teaching Qualification, with collaborations

Qualifications

  • You hold a Research Master's or Master's in psychology, economics, or a related field.
  • You have a strong basis in advanced statistics (mixed-effects models, cross-lagged panel analysis, latent class analysis; preferably in R).
  • You follow Open Science practices and have experience with pre-registration.

Responsibilities

  • You will conduct quantitative analysis using longitudinal data to study vulnerability to gambling harm.
  • You will develop and conduct multiple measurement waves with around 1,000 participants.
  • You will present work at workshops and conferences and publish scientific papers.
