Job summary

Maastricht University in the Netherlands invites applications for a PhD Candidate in Enhancing Reflective Practice in Health Professions Education. The project investigates coaching in medical work-based learning and how to implement effective coaching practices in health education.

You join a young, dynamic team; the residency option may combine with PhD studies. A master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Health Sciences or related field is required with C1 Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, Global Health, Medicine or related field.
• Experience with academic research, including designing and/or conducting research, data collection/analysis, and applying qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Experience as an intern or resident or in health professions education is an advantage.
• C1 level of proficiency in both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Identify enablers and barriers for coaching in work-based learning.
• Understand how young healthcare professionals engage with these factors.
• Contribute to directions for implementing effective coaching practices in health professions education.
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team focused on global health impact.
