Job summary

Upsilon Global seeks a Freelance Pharmacovigilance Specialist to provide local PV support in the Netherlands. This role centers on serving as the National Contact Person for PV, ensuring compliance with national regulatory requirements, and handling safety communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support processing of safety reports and literature monitoring.
• Ensure storage, maintenance and organisation of PV data and records.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch PV requirements.

Freelance Pharmacovigilance (PV) Specialist - Netherlands

Workload: Approximately 5-6 hours per month

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced freelance Pharmacovigilance (PV) Specialist based in the Netherlands to provide local support with pharmacovigilance activities.

The successful candidate will act as the National Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance in the Netherlands, ensuring that local PV activities are managed in accordance with applicable national regulatory requirements.

This is a low-volume assignment, with an anticipated workload of approximately 5-6 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the National Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance in the Netherlands, including registration with the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB/CBG).
• Maintain a 24/7 telephone line and centralised email address to ensure timely handling of safety-related enquiries and reporting.
• Maintain pharmacovigilance training records.
• Maintain PV-related documentation and support the processing of safety reports.
• Conduct local medical literature monitoring.
• Ensure the appropriate storage, maintenance and organisation of pharmacovigilance data and records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Dutch national pharmacovigilance requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and experience in Pharmacovigilance.
• Fluent in Dutch.
• Based in the Netherlands.
• Eligible and able to fulfil the national regulatory requirements for the role.
• Must be registered, or able to register, with the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB/CBG) as the National Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance.
• Experience with local PV activities, safety reporting and pharmacovigilance documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
